Dear colleagues,
The XIX SPCMIN Congress is approaching.
As always, we are committed to delivering a high-level scientific meeting focused on innovation, knowledge sharing, and excellence in Minimally Invasive Surgery.
This year, we will gather in the beautiful city of Tomar, at the Hotel dos Templários, on October 22nd and 23rd, 2026.
Focused on the latest advances in Minimally Invasive Surgery, the scientific programme will highlight innovation, technology, and practical training, making this congress a key meeting point for the surgical community.
It is therefore with great enthusiasm that we announce Dr. Ahmad Nassar as PRESIDENT of the XIX SPCMIN Congress.
Dr. Ahmad Nassar is an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor and Senior Research Fellow at the University of Glasgow, and a world-renowned expert in biliary surgery and Minimally Invasive Surgery.
With extensive international activity in surgical education, he leads advanced practical training courses in complex biliary surgery and choledochoscopy worldwide, including courses endorsed by SPCMIN, contributing significantly to the training of future generations of surgeons.
Dr. Ahmad Nassar’s presence represents a great honour for the congress and further strengthens the international dimension of this edition.
We look forward to welcoming you to Tomar for another outstanding meeting in Minimally Invasive Surgery.
More information regarding the scientific programme will be available soon, stay tuned!
